UCLA started the year coming off of an undefeated 2015 campaign where it won its second straight national championship. Fans watched the team’s win streak surge past 50, a school water polo record, 51, the NCAA water polo record and all the way to 57 before then-No. 2 USC dealt the concluding blow. The win streak hasn’t been the only story to the season, however – a close game to Long Beach State earlier in the year, yet another Mountain Pacific Invitational championship, the MPSF Championships on campus, not to mention the Daily Bruin’s first ever water polo podcast.
